To advance work in land conservation and artistic vitality in the Chicago Region and the Lowcountry of South Carolina, Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation:

• makes grants in response to applications from qualified organizations

• deploys assets in investments aligned with mission

• convenes groups with shared goals

• sponsors studies that help define relevant issues and strategies to address them

• carries out activities directly when an appropriate partner cannot be identified

• evaluates its work and communicates results

We have special interest in work that:

• builds stronger and more effective organizations

• supports and enhances partnerships

• recognizes the value of working collaboratively with diverse constituencies

• includes historically disadvantaged groups
