How to apply

Before submitting a grant proposal, please thoroughly review the foundation's:

• mission statement
• areas of interest - Land Conservation and Artistic Vitality,
• regions - the Chicago region and the Lowcountry of South Carolina

Please be sure your proposed work is relevant to the foundation's mission, areas of interest, geographic areas and fits our guidelines. If it does not, the proposal will not be reviewed.

Proposals are reviewed at the foundation’s March, June and November board meetings. To be reviewed for a specific board meeting, a complete proposal must be in the office by 5pm on the following deadlines: 

August 15, 2008 for review in November 2008
December 1, 2008 for review in March 2009
March 6, 2009 for review in June 2009
