Berkeley County

Father Stanislaus Gumula is the Abbot of Mepkin Abbey, located in Moncks Corner. He joined the monastery at Mepkin in 1959 and has called the Lowcountry home since that time. The brothers at Mepkin have played a very strong role in the conservation of the lands of Berkeley County and the enrichment of its community.
